Have you ever wondered that how the Instagram works?? Artificial intelligence and Machine learning are the two integral parts of this platform. Ivan Medvedev,Haotian Wu and Taylor Gordon - the three people behind this wonderful design I guess, that's what I read from the facebook AI blog ( google it, you would find this page)

There are 2 things of this whole process

1. Give what the end user wants

2. Give the best in the niche


I am the end user and I am ashok.

I want to browse pics of nature. I love nature and I keep double tapping the pictures with trees, clouds, Ice berg, mountains and rivers. So if I check my explore page, I would get to see the same interest. Instagram Algorithm is designed in a way that I am hooked to the mobile and I keep addicted to it. I am glued to the explore page BTW

How does it give me the best results ? there are 3 ways to filter the results as mentioned in the original blog.

1. Choose the best from 150 similar interests - give the best

2. Choose from the top 50 results and give the best

3. choose from top 25

you get the explore page when all these 3 results combined.

If you want to create something of this type, then start learning about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It may sound similar but completely different

It's good to learn the new technologies.
